What this website collects, and what the software does not. Short, because the answer is mostly "nothing".

This website

These pages are static. They set no cookies, run no analytics, embed no tracking pixels and load no third-party scripts. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. Your browser theme preference is stored locally on your own device and never sent anywhere.

The web host that serves these pages will keep ordinary server logs, which typically include IP addresses and user agents. That is a function of serving a website at all rather than a choice made here.

The software

Talos is self-hosted. It runs on your hardware against your database, and it makes no outbound connection to us. There is no licence check, no usage reporting and no account on our side. We do not receive your server inventory, your credentials, your logs or your job history, because there is no mechanism by which we could.

Talos does include a telemetry subsystem, and it is worth being exact about it. It records job traces, command output and change attribution so that the AI Engine can reason about your fleet and so you can answer "what changed, and who changed it". It writes exclusively to your own database. The module contains no HTTP client and no outbound endpoint. You can verify this by running the containers with outbound networking blocked.

If you email us

We keep the message so we can reply to it, and for as long as the conversation is useful. We do not add you to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list. Ask us to delete the correspondence and we will.

Changes

If this ever stops being true — if a hosted offering exists, or the site gains analytics — this page changes first and says what changed.
